Or is it maybe too soon to say that?
Episode 6.03 starts breaking us completely, again, something that is becoming usual this season. With an explanation that, although obvious or expected, was equally necessary. The reason why Quinn does not want to take a shower. Though he supposedly didn’t know what had happened … in any case, it seemed to be a compelling reason for him.
After this, It seemed like the best moment to get some support from Carrie. She, of course, was there for him. But he was maybe still a bit confused by the nightmare, also confused by the conversation they had … You know, whenever there is a hug between these two, things usually become very complicated …
But from here, Quinn begins to have another distractions. Blurred vision seems not to be an impediment anymore, and his paralysis no longer seems so important. Quinn senses something is happening, does anyone spy on Carrie? That suspicion is reason enough to have Quinn back. But, Is it true what he is seeing? Is his mind playing with him? I think he’s the first to ask himself these questions. And I also think he got the answers quickly.
So … next step. A gun, that’s all he needs. How to get it? He knows how. Yes, Quinn is back.
And well, you can’t imagine how much I loved this scene… He’s definitely back.
“You can take the spy out of the CIA, but you can’t take the spy out of Peter Quinn” (x)
Rupert got an A+ again in this episode. He had the opportunity to show us the more emotional part of Quinn again, and at the same time, he has managed to keep us tense and expectant at the beginning of his recovery. But it’s just the beginning, and as we’ve said a lot of times, the road is not going to be easy, and maybe he’s (almost) back on his feet, but he may never be who he was again.
There’s no new epi next sunday, so we have to wait until Feb 12th for this…
