Neville Wakefield was joined for an intimate dinner & discussion with Brooklyn-based artist Matthew Jackson, whose practice the NYT once described as “rigorously considered, unapologetically masculine, over-the-top ambitious, and breaking all boundaries”. As a creative director, writer, and commentator on contemporary art and culture, Wakefield combines objects, images, action and thought into provocative syntheses: it then comes to no surprise if he chose a multifaceted guest to bring around the table! Also a curator, Wakefield served as senior curatorial advisor for PS1 MoMA, curator of Frieze Projects, and is currently working on the upcoming Desert X Biennial project in Palm Springs.
